I've gotten into the kind of bad habit of taking way more pictures than I need to: instead of deciding exactly what I want to photograph, I usually shoot 10-15 takes on the same scene. It is so easy to fall into this habit with digital cameras, since the extra shots seem like they cost nothing. But in the end it means that I usually come home with 20-40 shots each day that I need to sort and decide which to keep, which takes a lot of time I don't have. So for the next week, I am going to practice being more deliberate with my photography. I'm off to a good start: I took only 2 photographs of this sunflower growing near the Tuesday farmer's market at Harvard, and this was the clear winner.
