This is a shot I've been meaning to revisit for a while. Michael Avina posted some very helpful advice on lighting glass in the comments to my Day 108 photo, which I finally got around to playing with. This is still a work in progress, obviously, but I think I'm heading in the right direction.

Now, for Tipsy Tuesday, today's cocktail is a Negroni variant I am particularly fond of:
1 oz Hendricks gin
1 oz Punt e Mes
1 oz Campari

Strobist: shot with a 430 EX at 1/32 power directly underneath the bottle, firing up through glass. Black background, improvised reflectors on the left, right, and top to fill in the front. Obviously I need glass that is less scratched. I also had to burn the background a lot to get it nice and black, so I think I need to move the subject further away to avoid accidentally lighting the backdrop, or add an improvised snoot to the mix.
