The naming of full moons turns out to be a quite interesting topic. Depending on who you ask, the full moon tonight could be the Dog Days Moon, the Sturgeon Moon, the Grain Moon, or the Corn Moon. Seeing as the beginning of August is when the summer corn really comes into its own, I went with Corn Moon.

I kind of broke my rule of only taking one or two pictures tonight, as it took some playing around to get a decent shot of the moon, but I followed it in spirit - once I got this one, I stopped shooting and didn't even bother to download the rejects. There are a few things I could have done better with this, but I am pretty happy with it for a first attempt at shooting the moon.
