It has been a while since I've used a picture from my weekly CSA farm share for my 366 project. Today we got 3 pounds of tomatoes in our share, officially ushering in high summer. There is nothing like a simple tomato salad for dinner, night after night. Fresh, local tomatoes have to be up there among my all-time favorite foods. These particular specimens are Valley Girl (red) and Taxi (yellow), and probably destined for a salad with fresh mozzarella, basil, a splash of balsamic vinegar, and a generous drizzle of high quality olive oil.
