For the "Get Pushed" Flickr group, I was paired with porschelinn, who challenged me to take "a self-portrait conveying some sort of emotion. Doesn't matter whether it's happy, sad, angry, excited, etc. Imagine something you'veexperienced in your life and react to it in front of the camera." This was a tough challenge for me, as I've only taken a few self-portraits and they tend to be of me in front of a computer.

I wanted to do something to celebrate the first day of spring (here in the northern hemisphere), and decided that joy would be my emotion. I've also always wanted to try a jumping shot and so figured why not? Here is the result. Definitely something different for me. I had a lot of fun with this, and it is great to be pushed to expand your photographic boundaries. Thanks for a great push, Porsche.
